This was a one-off concert in 1997 at Wembley Stadium featuring various artists singing popular songs from '97 back to the late 50's....people like Rod Stewart, Seal, Steve Winwood, KD Lang, Jon Bon Jovi, etc. The band includes Vinnie, Nathan East, and Mike Landau and they sound GREAT! It played the other day on the cable channel Trio and is scheduled to come on again on Oct 20th at 5pm ET. It's really worth checking out - it's great hearing Vinnie-isms in songs like Keep The Faith, Unbreak My Heart, I Still Haven't Found What I'm Looking For, Nothing Compares 2 U, and so on.

Also, can anyone tell me the easiest way to convert a midi file to a wav?

    Cheers.

Dude, I wish we got Trio out here in LA. Bummer. Adelphia cable doesn't carry it.

Taped this show yesterday! The funniest part of the show was when they were performing "Every Breath You Take" by Sting, and the camera flashes back to Vinnie grooving along with a cigarette hanging out of his mouth! He was smoking that day in more ways than one! Michael Landau was playing in that band, plus I think it was Paco Seri (sp?) on percussion. Good show.

I recorded it too - minus commercials it was 90 minutes. The version I had at one time was 2hrs - it was shown on the commercial-free BBC in the UK - I guess they had to edit it over here for commercials. Great show nonetheless. Vinnie plays his ass off. The band also had Mike Landau, Heitor Pereira, Nathan East, and Paulinho Da Costa on percussion.
